Expert reports and litigation support are among Aedis Appraisals’ core areas of expertise. Our two principals bring more than 70 years of combined experience in the real estate appraisal profession, with extensive knowledge across a broad range of property types and valuation matters.
Their experience includes directly assisting and consulting with four of Canada’s six major banks on appraisal processes, procedures and policy development. This depth of industry knowledge allows Aedis to prepare clear, well-supported reports designed to withstand careful professional and legal scrutiny.
In January 2026, Jason David Walter Upton, President and CEO of Aedis Appraisals, was cross-examined for a full day in the Supreme Court of British Columbia. His detailed knowledge, composure and ability to clearly explain complex valuation matters helped make the evidence more understandable to the court. First-hand courtroom experience also strengthens our ability to anticipate potential challenges and prepare appraisal reports that are credible, objective and defensible.
